7c2a8a0cab The OpenLayers server threw a disk, and clobbered another, resulting in a loss 
of data up to our last backup. In the previous subversion repository, this was
r1694->r1777. I'm sorry to all those of you who might have checked out that 
code, as this will surely cause problems for you. We're currently working to
figure out what went wrong, and how to prevent it in the future.

c38874b374 make it such that the map is dropped and the zoom box abandoned if the mouse goes off the screen. obviously the better solution would be to treat things as if we were still in the div -- mach 2 had this functionality. for now, however, we dont have time to code that, so i have created a ticket #263 and put it in the drawer for 2.2. this fix at least gives the user consistent behaviour, and does not allow for this annoying zooming with the zoom rectangle on mouseout.

c2355d207c make sure scroll only scrolls if it was done over the map, and also stop event propagation so that the window doesnt scroll too

c1b8c8dd60 change the '@require:' to '@requires' so as to be compatible with JSDOC standards. put these directly inside the class definition comment block. update script to suggest this and update all source files to follow pattern. Caught a missing @requires in the EventPane.js file

88e1b772b9 only call the concluding setCenter() (which generally will do no more than fire the 'moveend' event) if the drag was actually performed. otherwise, it was just a click, and no need.

e91d0546ee replace all usage of copyOf() with clone(). Now copyOf() is officially deprecated and unused. supported only if users out there have used it, but we can phase it out in the next official release.

f115b797a3 Changed around the order of arguments for createImage, createDiv, and createAlphaImage. bubbled out helper function OpenLayers.Util.modifyDOMElement() to handle common mods. Official order now is: id, px, sz, imgURL, position, border[, overflow]

06cbeb2f11 fix for #60 
conversions to/from lonlat/px need to take into account
the offset of the layersContainerDiv. 


I have introduced the following functions for converting
between layer and screen pixel values:

getLayerPxFromScreenPx() and getScreenPxFromLayerPx()

they are pretty self-explanitory.


I then renamed:

getPixelFromLonLat() and getLonLatFromPixel()

to:

getScreenPxFromLonLat() and getLonLatFroScreenmPx()

and added:

getLayerPxFromLonLat() and getLonLatFromLayerPx()


updates were made throughout the code, demos, and tests
so everything should still run smoothly.

af7dc7661a Commented out code to cancel zoom box if shift key is released before left mouse button. I find myself doing this consistently by accident, so we should probably find another way to cancel the zoom, like hittin ESC or something.

d0da958e57 1. Change the calling syntax for events on this control so that they go 
from this instead of this.map. This has practical as well as idealogical 
benefits, namely that we can now call other methods on the control from 
within a control. This is neccesary for...
2. When the shift key is lifted, stop the zoomBox. This is the way in 
which users can *not* zoom once they've started.

563b828ede Migrate Map MouseControls to MouseDefaults.js. This moves event handling into a control, where we can modify it and edit it without mucking about in the main map class, bringing this portion of the code more into line with the way other aspects of the controls situation work.
